Here I stand, attempting star gazing
looking for Ursula and the Pole.
However the sky tonight
seems empty,
I wonder if up there too
is scarcity?
And below
gleaming with light,
is that traffic or fireflies?
And so I realise -
invention has taken a toll;
the stars I look for
lie beneath my feet,
created by men
who seek the zenith
of heavenly bodies.
